Psyberus - 15/03/10 The lighting in this place is spectacular. The Word is often a little too quiet though, despite the great interior and friendly staff and good music, its often closed to public for functions, meaning that its a risk to attempt visiting, making it hard to grow in loyal patrons as you often get turned away due to a function. Would love to see this place thrive a bit more. 3/5 Matthew - 17/10/08 Soulclap on a Saturday, really heats up the Dancefloor Peril, A- Style, Simon Sez, Hoesty and Surreal What more can you want..
Laid back vibe, everyones always easy to get along with. Good drinks, bar staff are excellent. 4/5 Just Cruisin - 18/04/08 Richly decorated with wooden floors and brown brick archways. The word is an intriguing place if you know where to find it.
Can be a little quiet at times, and no real sense of identity with it's crowd, mostly made up of out of towners, or suits looking to let their hair down after work. 0/5 Fiona - 12/05/07 A lovely place with great atmoshere and staff, sometimes DaTruth you should remember that the venue reflects its patrons! 4/5 DaTruth - 23/09/06 This venue does not know what it want to be, a bar, a club, a restaurant, a corporate venue.... and because of this ite suffers badly. Sometimes, you cant, and should not try to, cater to all crowds 1/5
