This bright and breezy bar/restaurant hits its stride on weekends when local residents descend for a late breakfast, long lunch or dinner with friends.

It's a world away from the owners' other establishment, the city's Apocalypsi - a dark, pulsating mecca for young Greek Melburnians.

The Wallflower's relaxed, fun atmosphere makes for an alfresco feel even during the winter months and it's a toss-up whether it's the environment or the spaghetti marinara that attracts such a devoted crowd.
