Veludo was cool. But now things are even better. Creative switched on foresight; has put together amazing renovations, both in the downstairs restaurant; where you can enjoy a delicious meal from our diverse, multicultural menu, or upstairs for the coolest bands and DJ’s around town. And the icing on top, a function room to die for.
The originality of Veludo is impressive. Upstairs has options that others would dream of. A function room with style and grace, incredible decoration and lounge ware. A happening bar, with great service, and a funky stage for the entertainment. Even an inclosed dome room to chill; drink some wine, and maybe a private chat. Also Veludo is the only venue on Acland st with an outdoor, upstairs beer garden; the place to be in summer.
The Veludo restaurant downstairs has a feel good vibe where you can enjoy our high quality stylish and vast menu, in an intimate setting. With kind, thoughtful staff, and the refreshing choice of enjoying breakfast in the sun, or dining under the stars. Used to be a great place to eat and drink with great helpful staff. Now full of a bunch of rude backpackers from the states and all over. We used to eat here 3 times a week but those times have changed.

Took us 30 minutes to get recognised, only because I waved him down and then told me 'dont dare click at me' and then politely told us all to f**k off.
I don't really think people appreciate being sworn at like that for no real reason. I've also heard from a few people that they have gotten the worst service from here also.
Definently do not recommend to anyone!

Definitely one of Melbourne's best. Dinner in the restaurant followed by drinks and great music upstairs - perfect night out.
