The Kitten Club's owners, who met while working at the George, know how to please bar aficionados. Offering full table service in a softly lit atmosphere, the Kitten Club is great for socialising.
Its blend of oriental style and '50s furniture works surprisingly well (the back- lit drink and glass display is particularly striking). While there are plans to open the second floor as a cabaret lounge (starring Tony Starr himself), at the moment the Kitten Club is devoid of loud music.
For an audible weeknight discussion among friends, this is the place. But, if you come here and do not sample one of the umpteen cocktails on the menu, you are missing half the point. While not bargain basement priced, once you've tried one, you'll see it is money well spent.
Another highlight of the Kitten Club is the kitchen: it is open late so you can join hospitality workers having a bite to eat at the end of their shifts.
