Quite possibly the only Swiss venue in Melbourne, this bar/restaurant's specialty is rosti - a Swiss fried potato dish.
The only real bar area when meals are being served is the stools around the bar. When the kitchen is closed (snacks are still available) the linen covered tables become part of the bar area.
The central, oval-shaped bar is well stocked in traditional Swiss liquors including a range of schnapps.
The decorations are heavily influenced by the owner's home town: on one wall is a map of Basel. Opposite it, and dominating the front half of the bar, is a huge mural that depicts Fusnacht , a Swiss festival where musicians drive out the winter spirits.
The open fireplace ensures that the ceremony is not necessary here, even on Melbourne's frostiest nights.
