This huge Italian-influenced bar has become a Melbourne icon.

While the well-lit cavernous space and a generous collection of armchairs would make it worthy of note, the real highlight is the floor. The floor is an expansive mosaic which extends from the entrance through to the bar, covering the front section.

The central circular bar provides a good range of wine and spirits for the full-service tables and armchairs, although you can perch at the bar for a quick drink.

The kitchen at the rear serves meals through the day as well as a range of bar snacks. The off-white walls are decorated with Roman-style artwork and decorations which add to the charm. You feel as though you could almost ask your waiter to peel you a grape.
