By day a Sushi bar and by night a great space for drinks and conversation, Robot is rapidly becoming popular with people looking for something a little different.
The space is small, split over two levels, but has a deceptively spacious feel (largely due to the second mezzanine level.
Decor and general vibe are very Japanime, with Japanese toys (and paintings of same) adorning surfaces inside the building. The seating is very loungey and close to the ground, which makes you feel more like you're at a party than a bar. This feeling is enhanced by the Atari 2600 and TV (playable!) upstairs, with cartridge classics like Pitfall available for your nostalgic pleasure.
For those interested in anime, Robot has screenings of various animation films on Thursday nights. Check with the bar for session times.
