Tucked away up a long, narrow staircase, the crowd rarely starts to build here until well after midnight (licensed til 7am).

The decor is rough hewn, with stone walls and benches made from unfinished pieces of timber. The red ochre of the walls and exposed stonework combine with the colored lights and a dark wood trim to give a warm, moody feel which is well suited the wee hours. Couches are tucked away in the corners leaving the centre of the room for dancing.

Upstairs is a live music venue while downstairs is a lounge bar.

The guy who made the comment that the crowd at Pony 'reeks of effort' couldn't be further from the truth. Obviously clueless and oblivious to a good time. Pony's awesome, everyone's chilled and up for a chat and doesn't give a crap about looking good or impressing. Music rocks.

Cool bar! but disgustingly dirty, so if u can get over barely being able to breathe from smoke and feeling "sticky" everywhere u walk, then its worth a look....its more for the retro/punk ppl.
