Opened by the partners of the seminal architectural firm, Six Degrees, a few years ago, Meyers Place quickly established itself at the forefront of Melbourne's bar scene.
The proprietors have turned this small space, down a particularly uninspiring alleyway (unless you consider car parks inspirational), into a haven of chic clientele and design.
Like most of the bars that the Six Degrees team have designed (The Public Office, bluebar), the interior has no real theme. It's more a mixture of textures and styles that together create harmony. I'd venture to say that no other architectural group has used shag pile carpet on walls as well.
Serving no food other than a cabana and cheese platter, this bar is dedicated to the quiet drink.
The bar was also used in the student-life film Love and Other Catastrophes.
