Medusa's owners, who also run Cafe Segovia and the Hairy Canary, have put their stamp on the design quite literally. As you enter through a high glass door, your eye is drawn to a piece of artwork made of six, backlit panels, each containing a word. The words (lust, lips, e1, desire, fate and burn) each relates to one of the six partners.

Medusa's open, bright feel is heightened by a large mirror at one end while strips of downlights are suspended from the high ceiling.

Mainly patronised by office workers during the day, all types come on Friday evenings for the jazz band. Unlike many other bars in this part of the city, Medusa still operates on Saturday nights, thanks, in part, to the presence of a block of serviced apartments above.
