Figaro is an explosion of color masquerading as a bar/restaurant. As you would expect from a bar named after one of Mozart's most beloved characters, Figaro has a definite artistic influence: from little details, such as the mosaic that runs the length of the right-hand wall, to the riotous coloring of exposed vents and pipes in the ceiling.
Above the mosaic, the walls are covered in large, boldly colored paintings. A well-lit refrigerated cake display greets you as you enter, but it is the mod-Oz menu that has locals coming back again and again, to fill the cluster of tables that extends down past the open kitchen.
Figaro evolves from a cafe/bar in the afternoons to a more serious restaurant in the evenings, when it really hits the high notes.
