Got sworn at by the manager of this pub. 80% of people were watching the major sporting event but the woman managing the bar felt she'd rather tell paying customers to leave her bar than turn off the Usher and Rhianna music than put the TV sound on.

Found the manger of the venue to be very rude. Horrible experience at this venue. Used to frequent this venue a lot 6 or so years ago and it’s not the place it once was. The staff were very nice and the food and drinks are what you would expect but the manager was very rude. Had some friends over from the UK and was very embarrassed. Very disappointed. If you like the Irish pubs I suggest Bridie’s up the road or the St Kilda venue.

Bucks night from hell - 12/09/10
Hi all,
started the night there for a mates bucks night and after about 2 drinks 2 of the people with us went outside for a smoke and were refused entry back in and the only explanation they were given was that management said they had too much to drink... hmm while finishing off my drink inside i was watching what was happening at the doors as they were waiting outside for the rest of us. The bouncers were letting in about 5 women per 1 man and men that went out for a smoke were being refused entry back in with the same "management" reason... proceeded onto crown + other places and ended up having an awesome night.... was very disappointed at the Elephant and wheelbarrow and will not be going back!!!

unpretentious crowd, a decent live crowd and reasonably priced drinks- it's a great place for a casual drink and dance with friends.

It attracts an inoffensive crowd, has decent level headed security, and there's some cute boys around. Yes, there are some older types, but they are usually too interested in the sport on tv. Don't mind the occasional stop here.

In my experience, this place is crawling with creepy men...
Too many lechers and rooters out to hook in girls, root them then toss them out like rubbish.

The European Bier Pub just down the road is a million times better, cooler, better bands (Saturday band is great), and a lot better looking women!

If you're in a bit of a group, then don't bother, the no idea security won't let you in no matter how respectable you look or how empty the pub is. Shot themselves right in the foot.

went there from a pub I was actually enjoying one night hoping it would be worth it. average atmosphere, rather quiet and too many old geezers. not an awful place but there are better places to drink

Great place to enjoy a beverage or two, and hassle free good times, or a place to start a night of shenanigans. Friendly crowd and bar staff!

This is the worst pub I have been to in a long time...waited to get in for 20 mins only to experience a horrible cover band and too many sleezy old dudes...left after another 20 mins, checked out the European Beer Cafe, didn't have to line up and danced the night away with people our own age...

Went here on a friday night a month or so ago. Had an awesome night, very very very drunk!
Great staff, Great band (Metrik), was dancing til closing!
There wasn't more girls than guys.... probably more guys than girls.
Only bad point was trying to get my friends to leave so we could get home!

Take it for what it is..a overly crowded pick-up joint popular with the backpacker and younger crowd. But if you want to go nuts for a night, this is your place.

oh pls! dn't bother if your out for a good dance night .kinda reminded me of redneck werribee mocco crowd. Trust me any girl can feel gorgeouse on a staurday night there. Damn FERAL!! 15 minutes was more than enough. Kinda kicked ourselves for waiting at the door to get in .(thought we had to wear our moccason's )

Great atmosphere, awesome bar staff and fantastic lay out. Pity it's a total chick fest. So girls if you wanna go chill out dance to some covers great but don't expect many hotties under 25
