This is a bar that doesn't hide its influences. From the replica, albeit in neon, sign in the window to the autographed Boston T-shirt, Cheers readily acknowledges its more famous namesake. There's even a group of five or six guys who come in every day after work. Whether they cry one of their names in unison upon that person's entrance is up for debate.
The front half of Cheers is a devoted bar area, the stools around the bar and along the wall are the only seating. At the back is a slightly raised section reserved for dining when the kitchen is open.
Meals finish by 9pm, although bar snacks are available until close. A small bottle shop also operates until close.
Large windows let in plenty of natural light, however the view of the laneway is less than inspiring. There is live entertainment here on Saturday nights.
