Like a bar taken out of Barcelona's Las Ramblas, only bigger, Caffe Cortile maintains the European feel of the Block arcade.
The warm apricot walls and dark wooden furniture create a bright, cosy atmosphere, but it really comes into its own in summer when the tables flow into the arcade, generating a bustling cosmopolitan atmosphere.
The management teams up with Cafe Segovia to provide live music on Thursdays and Fridays, adding to the feel. The only drawback here is that the toilets are located up several flights of stairs above the bar (you enter through a door immediately to the right of the shopfront).
The kitchen serves a variety of Italian-based meals for both lunch and dinner, as well as having a fresh batch of cakes brought in each day.
