Squeezed in next to the revived Regent Theatre, Box's clean lines and bright white walls could be straight out of a Clockwork Orange set.
Box offers table service throughout its elongated shape and the service is as bright and clean as the walls. The strictly functional furniture is in keeping with the design, which is minimalist and reflects the small amount of space the designer had to work with.
Everything from the light fittings and coat hooks to the floor-to- ceiling toilet doors (a must-see) is confluent with the architecture. Certain features, such as stools instead of cumbersome chairs, are awesome in their suitability.
Upstairs is a restaurant that continues the decor below, except for a continuous couch down one wall. Despite the hushed theatre-going crowd, you could almost imagine Clockwork's Alex and his droogs enjoying a glass of moloko here.
