All hyperbole aside, Bobby McGees has to be seen to be believed. Located on the first floor of Rydges Hotel, it straddles all nightlife genres. Part bar, part nightclub, the management likes to describe it as an entertainment lounge. The interior is like something out of The Truman Show. All the walls are covered with facades of small-town USA businesses: the Biloxi Cinema stands beside the Greyhound bus depot, which is across the dance floor from a garage. Bobby McGees is based around industry nights which give free entry and cheap drinks to those sporting the appropriate industry ID, though other members of the public are more than welcome to join the revelry. The industries rotate through the week; ask the staff wich night's for what industry. Fridays are the only time when there is a strict dress code: men will need to be wearing a suit. All-in-all, the staff try their darndest to make sure everyone has a good time, including leading singalongs and dance routines.
