There is very little blue about Bluebar. The decor is strictly warm and comfortable and nothing about the atmosphere will make you melancholy.

Designed by the Six Degrees architects, who own the Public Office and Meyers Place bars, Bluebar co-ordinates wood panelling with white tablecloths and bulbous orange lights. Everything from the well-worn furnishings to the relaxed attitude of the staff makes bluebar feel like an extended living room.

Definitely the place for a quiet drink, the emphasis is on intimate conversation although DJs pump out the grooves on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The hip and friendly staff will even put together the house specialty cocktail, the Pink Jeffrey, if you ask nicely.

It acts as a bar/restaurant until 11pm, but snacks are available until closing on the nights it's open late.

great look, fantastic staff and some of the best djs in melbourne in this little gem. if you're a north sider.. make the crossing for this one, it'll change your attitude toward chapel st!
stumbled across it on a tuesday night and the music was fantastic, i'd say the dj was far better in terms of skills, originality and crowd reading than you get in most clubs on a friday/sat night.

I visited here on a Friday night late-ish. Great vibes, music & people. Just here to chill & have a good time. Don't come here thinking you're the s**t otherwise you'll get sorted by the people. I saw a girl got bruised (mentally not physically) pretty bad by a girl who gave her a serve. Was rather amusing but she deserved it. Bar staff excellent, a little bit of wait at times.

One of the best bars in Melbourne. Great vibe and a good crowd. Some of the best cocktails you can imagine. Try the Japansese ugg boot. Great place to start the night!

stumbled on this one while on a bar crawl. good relaxed atmosphere, funky dj sets and a 21+ crowd. friendly staff and good drink selection. recommeded between 10pm-12am
