Becco, "beak" in Italian, has become a popular migration point for Melbourne's birds of a well-tailored feather.
Part of a unique bar/restaurant/private dining space arrangement, Becco's bar is stylish in the European tradition: darkly stained wood tables and leather upholstered benches.
The walls are decorated with softly toned, textured patchwork wall panels that give warmth both literally and visually. The best seats in the house are by the floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on to the lane, providing great people-watching opportunities.
A central, circular bar delineates the bar/restaurant area and is especially well-stocked in the wine department, offering 29 wines by the glass.
Although the restaurant is well known, the bar exists in its own right as an after-work meeting place for a quick drink or as a secluded venue for a late- night Campari.
